Top Ten Nursing Issues for 2008: Funding

Healthcare Funding

All nurses, travel nurses included should be very concerned about the amount of funding for those who simply can’t afford adequate health care - this includes immigrants living in the United States.

Many areas of the country aren’t setting aside enough funding to treat impoverished patients who simply must have care. The healthcare industry as a whole is in dire need for one of two things to solve the problem. More funding or a new solution to treating those who can’t afford to be treated.

We need to start setting aside dollars to treat those who are sick, while at the same time planning new solutions to treating those who have limited or no access to healthcare.
