Hitting The Road In Style And Comfort

Posted by jason under Travel Nurse Life

For some travel nurses, the idea of staffing-agency housing brings thoughts of cramped quarters, cold showers, less-than-desireable roomates and other horror stories. One way around this is to simply not travel. But why would you do that when we all know the travel nurse life can be one of the most rewarding and exciting out there? So is there a happy medium between staffing agency housing and the comfort of your own home that fits in with your travel nurse career?

Think RV.

Traveling from assignment to asignment in an RV can be fun and even financially rewarding for a travel nurse. The RV gets you from here to there in style and allows you to sleep in the same bed every night. You could also save additional money by living in an RV as you collect travel allowances and housing subsidies. When it’s all said and done, you may even be able to pay off your RV - which you can then choose to sell or upgrade.

With an RV as your travel nurse residence, you no longer have to pack and unpack or dread what housing you’ll have when you arrive to an assignment. And while you may be limited to RV park locations, there are certainly plenty of them in the U.S. that are affordable and come with great amenities like free Wi-Fi, pool and more.
